Roman started with the Revolution Ice Gardens in May 2016, but comes to us with over 12 years experience as a General Manager/Assistant General Manager in the rink industry.  Roman also has over 6 years experience as an Ice Hockey Director in the Philadelphia region.

Growing up locally, Roman played his youth hockey with the Glaciers Ice Hockey Club as well as Council Rock (North) High School.  Graduating in 1991, he helped Council Rock (North) win both the AAA Flyers Cup and AAA State Championships.  Roman finished his playing career at the college level playing for both New Hampshire College (SNHU) NCAA Division III and West Chester University ACHA Division I.  Although he did flirt with the idea of playing minor league hockey. After graduating college Roman signed a try out agreement with the Abeline Aviators of the WPHL, but opted out and started his coaching career.  Since 1995 Roman has been involved in coaching teams in the Philadelphia area.  Roman has coached with the Philadelphia JR Flyers AAA, Team Comcast AAA, Upper Darby HS, West Chester East HS, Council Rock South HS, and Archbishop Ryan HS.  Roman is now the head coach of Temple University's Mens Ice Hockey Team and brings an enthusastic and energetic approach to our facility and programs!  Roman is also the founder of 621 Hockey and their Spring/Summer Selects program.

Lauren Patterson
Hockey Director/Marketing Director/Web Designer

Lauren's experience carries into every aspect of the Revolution Ice Gardens. Lauren grew up as a goaltender for Ridley High School where she became the first goaltender (and girl) selected into the program's Hall of Fame. Her experience playing goalie carries into high level of boys and girls hockey, from the West Chester University Men's and Women's team to professional hockey with the Canadian Women's Hockey League Boston Blades. It was from her playing experiences that drove her into coaching. She's coached nearly every level of boys and girls hockey from Varsity to 8U. Her dedication to the game has helped build many hockey programs. While being a core member of rebuilding Ridley's program, the program grew from 20 to 90 players in two years. Lauren also started the girls program at Lehigh Valley where the program flourished under her supervision in just two years - growing from 9 players to 45 girls!

Lauren currently coaches with the Lady Patriots u14AA, but her dedication does not stop there. It's her goal to develop the Revolution Youth, Patriots, as well as every hockey program in the rink to help the Ice Gardens become the premiere hockey facility in the area.
